Sheriff Joey Tucker

 Sheriff Joey W. Tucker has dedicated his life to serving the people of Bryan County, Oklahoma. A lifelong resident, Sheriff Tucker began his law enforcement career in Calera, Oklahoma in 2002, before continuing his service in the town of Caddo. He joined the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office in 2011 as a patrol deputy under Sheriff Bill Sturch, where his leadership and commitment quickly became evident. He was later promoted to Patrol Sergeant under Sheriff Ken Golden.

With the election of Sheriff Johnny Christian, Tucker was promoted to Patrol Lieutenant and, in 2018, was appointed Undersheriff—a role in which he served with distinction until being elected Sheriff.

Sheriff Tucker is a proud graduate of Durant High School and attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He married his wife, Scarlett, a dedicated school teacher, in 2006. Together, they are raising two sons who are currently continuing their education in the Durant Public School system.

Sheriff Tucker is deeply committed to the safety, well-being, and future of Bryan County and its residents. His long-standing dedication, local roots, and steady leadership continue to guide the Sheriff’s Office in its mission to protect and serve the community
